Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme/feature hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is: Rewind, so I went with Top Ten Releases for the Second Half of 2016. There are so many books coming out this fall/winter that I’m really excited about, it was hard to just pick ten. There’s some really exciting debuts/firsts in a series but also tons of exciting sequels.
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
One of my most anticipated releases this year! I absolutely loved Six of Crows, and cannot wait to read this one. Also, we’re getting Wylan’s POV!!! You can read my review of Six of Crows here.
Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
This book and Crooked Kingdom are tied for my most anticipated. I’ve loved this series so much so far, and Queen of Shadows was AMAZING. There is no doubt in my mind that this book is going to be amazing as well.
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
Marissa Meyer’s Lunar Chronicles series is one of my favorites, and I’ve heard so many good things about this book. I still have to actually read Alice and Wonderland though. Whoops.
Midnight Star by Marie Lu
This series is so dark, and I love it. Books with dark themes and antiheroes are just my absolute favorite. I enjoyed The Young Elites more than The Rose Society though, so I’m really hoping this one doesn’t disappoint.
Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare
Like The Bane Chronicles, these novellas are already releases as eBooks, but I don’t want to spend all my money on them just to end up buying this copy anyways. I read the first, then decided to wait for this to come out for the rest.
A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
I will admit I didn’t enjoy An Amber in the Ashes as much as I hoped to, but I’m still really looking forward to reading this book. I’m also excited to get a POV from Helene.
Bright Smoke, Cold Fire by Rosamund Hodge
I only heard about this book recently, but it sounds really good, so I’m excited to read it. I haven’t read Rosamund Hodge’s other series, but I’m planning to get to it soon.
A Shadow Bright and Burning by Jessica Cluess
This is a Victorian fantasy book, and I cannot be more excited to get my hands on this. I LOVE historical fiction, the Victorian era especially, and there’s so much praise surrounding this book that’s getting me so excited.
Vassa in the Night by Sarah Porter
Okay, just look at that cover. Gorgeous right? This book is a retelling of a Russian folktale and it’s set in an alternate fairytale Brooklyn. Sounds super good, right! So excited for this release.
Ever the Hunted by Erin Summerill
I really do not want to have to wait until the end of December to read this. It just sounds so good! I’ve heard lots of great reviews, which just makes me want it even more than I already did.
What are some of your most anticipated releases for the remainder of 2016?
